So the creators of Cirque du Soleil have made a new show, Michael Jackson The Immortal. It's a visual feast, as all Cirque du Soleil shows are. I found this one to be a little strange in that it's focused on one individual, albeit a famous one.
I read some articles about the Cirque du Soleil tour, and they were very enlightening. Did you know that all of the performers are street acrobats? It makes me wonder what it's like behind the scenes at a Cirque du Soleil show.
The closest thing I can think of in traditional theater to this would probably be Spider-man tickets. It's a lot of fun, but be sure to bring the kids. The Lion King tickets also have a LOT of visual stuff to appreciate. It's also great for kids, of course.
